Have you decided you are going to make a relocation to another city? If the answer to that question is yes then you'll need to select a moving company. There are a lot of untrustworth moving companies out there so here are a few tips to help you find a good moving company. Virtually every state in the country requires that moving companies be licensed. Make sure the company you are considering is licensed to do business in the state. Don't even think about using an unlicensed moving company. Make sure that the moving company you are considering has insurance to cover your belongings. Ask for a certificate of insurance. Moving trucks do have wrecks and they do lose the entire contents of a truck. It doesn't happen often but you want to be protected if it does happen. Always get competitive bids. Pay close attention to whether the bids you receive are binding bids or non-binding bids. Here's the difference. A non-binding bid is an estimate only. The actual amount you will pay can be more than the bid. A binding bid is a firm price bid. The amount you will pay will never be greater than this.
